Clarity before commitment.
Start with a free online photo assessment, or request a free full house survey and energy assessment. Honest advice. Clear recommendations. No pressure.
Online Photo Assessment / Free
Send photos of the affected areas and tell us what you have noticed. We review the information and reply with an honest initial assessment and a fixed-price quote where the scope can be established. If an on-site investigation is needed, we’ll explain why. A photo assessment is not a substitute for a full survey.
Full House Survey + Energy Assessment / Free
Our comprehensive top-to-bottom survey is designed to identify the root causes of damp, moisture ingress and thermal inefficiency in your property. We inspect systematically and document our findings in a detailed written report, accompanied by a full Domestic Energy Assessment carried out by a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA).
Your site survey is free, with no obligation to proceed with any recommended works.
What we inspect
External envelope
Brickwork condition, pointing integrity and defective or poorly repaired areas that may allow water penetration.
Window frames, seals and perimeter weatherproofing.
Guttering, downpipes and rainwater goods for blockages, leaks or incorrect falls.
External ground levels relative to the damp-proof course.
Damp-proof course (DPC)
Presence, continuity and visible condition of the damp-proof course.
Clearance above external ground level, normally at least 150 mm in line with applicable building guidance; we consider property age, construction, access details and any relevant exceptions.
Evidence of bridging, breaches or possible rising-damp pathways, considered alongside other sources of moisture.
Cavity wall inspection
Borescope examination, subject to safe access and permission, to assess the type, condition and integrity of existing cavity wall insulation.
Checks for debris, bridging, wet insulation and incomplete fill that may contribute to thermal bridging and internal damp.
Internal moisture & thermal assessment
Moisture mapping of accessible walls, floors and ceilings, with readings interpreted in the context of the building and materials.
Identification of cold spots, condensation risk and mould growth.
Loft insulation inspection, with particular attention to eaves detailing: gaps or incorrectly laid insulation can cause thermal bridging and mould at ceiling/wall junctions.
Ventilation assessment, including airflow and moisture control.
Energy performance review
A formal Domestic Energy Assessment carried out by a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA).
A clear explanation of current energy performance, with practical, prioritised recommendations to reduce energy use and heating bills.
The report you receive
Findings from every element of the inspection, including any access limitations.
Photographic evidence and moisture readings where relevant.
Specific recommendations for remedial works, prioritised by urgency and impact.
Fixed prices for any recommended works.
Full Domestic Energy Assessment with guidance on cost-effective improvements.
Inspection is subject to safe access and the scope agreed before the visit. Any concealed or inaccessible areas and any need for further investigation will be clearly recorded. A Domestic Energy Assessment is not a guarantee of a particular saving; improvements depend on the property and how it is used.
